The Epic Post
..not that it's of epic storytelling or anything ...but more of epic proportions since in attempting to write this post on my pda *tap tap tap * on my 3 inch Keyboard * tis very challenging
l have previously wrote 3 paragraphs only to accidentally click on the Home icon on the bottom of the screen *delete-wipe-out* ...to be greeted by a blanK screen when I pressed the back button. Something which never happens if I had a proper computer ...but I cant complain because I totally packed light.
The elective rotation in internal medicine -pulmonology has been great so far. the first week I felt totally useless but I finally got my own patients in week two. My own patient to follow up! yay! I must have drove the nurse nuts from checking On him twice a day. My first proper patient presentation sucked and left a lot wanting but Hell, I'm learning right? My most recent followup presentation didn't suck as bad so hopefully the attending sees that I'm totally improving. And I realise that American medicine is just poor at physical examination and physical diagnosis skills...something we are totally better at. the difference is interesting though.
the apartment mates are cool enough -2 guys who are law students. The other girl is also a visiting med student, SWathi, which I hang out with most of the time because we have similar hours. We 're going to do the touristy thing this weekend=]
the apartment itself is pretty fab with a wonderful view from the 17th floor...So much so I could view the 4th of July fireworks from my bed ....I totally want to live in a penthoUse when I grow up.
